What are web notifications?
Web notifications (or push notifications) are small pop-up windows that appear in one of the corners of your computer screen (depending on your computer's settings). The advantage is that they always appear above all applications, so they are always visible.
For web notifications to work, the web browser on which they are enabled must be turned on. Notifications are then displayed through all windows and by clicking on them you will get to the details of the reservation.
How do I set up web notifications?
The following points need to be met to set up web notifications correctly:
Enable web notifications in the ERB application
Set what changes you want to be notified about.
Enable web notifications on your computer system
Enabling web notifications in the ERB application
To enable web notifications, click "☰ Menu> ERB Settings" in the ERB application. Here it is necessary to first activate the notification with the green button on the right (1) and then enable the display of notifications in the browser pop-up window (2).
Setting types of web notifications
For convenient use, you can choose which changes to your booking you will receive web notifications about (3).
Important information for settings in the ERB application
Web notification settings are directly in the ERB application.
Web notification settings always apply only to a specific user, with a specific web browser on a specific device. If you log in to another device or use a different browser, the notification needs to be reset. Each browser displays a window to enable notifications a little different from what is shown in the example above.
Web notifications do not work yet on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad).
What if I have web notifications disabled?
In the case of disabled notifications, simply enable them in a specific browser. Instructions for enabling them on supporting browsers can be found at the links below:
Enabling web notifications on your computer system
Web notifications are available for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
In Windows 10, web notifications are activated in "Settings> System> Notifications and Actions". In this section, turn on these notifications and enable notifications for the specific web browser you're using in the list of apps.
To change how long notifications appear on your desktop, go to "Settings> Ease of Access> Screen." More information about this feature here.
We recommend using Microsoft Edge for full functionality of web notifications in Windows 10. Other browsers may experience minor issues, see the table below.
In windows 8.1, push notifications are activated in "Settings> Search and Applications> Notifications". In this section, turn on these notifications and enable notifications for the specific web browser you're using in the list of apps.
To change how long notifications appear on your desktop, go to "Settings> Ease of Access> More Options."
There is no notification center in Windows 8.1, so once the notification disappears, it will no longer be traceable.
Mac OS - Apple computers
For MacOS, web notifications are activated in "System Preferences> Notifications", where notifications are set for specific applications. More information here.
